In 1983, Marvin Schaefer, a former Forex Trader, and Steven Belman, an attorney, purchased Manufacturers Wholesale Lumber. Setting out to build a solid lumber company, the pair began by wholesaling softwood lumber to retail lumber yards and wood products to industrial corporations throughout the Midwest.

As Marvin and Steve built the Company, they focused all of their time, energy and resources on adding value to every business relationship. Customers and suppliers grew to rely on the Company to get things done right. In the late 1980’s, in order to maintain a continuous source of raw material, it became necessary for the Company to purchase one of its main suppliers. That supplier evolved into Troymill Wood Products, a leader supplier of wholesale pallets.

The tradition of integrity, hard work and exceptional service that has driven the Company’s growth is as strong today as ever. Combined with cutting-edge technology that enables even greater service to our business partners, we look forward to many years of success.
