Steel & Metals Coil Saddle, Rack, and Pallet Buying Questions
Coil dimensions and weight, quantity needed, timing, delivery locations, and your handling method (flatbed, rail, or storage). Sharing these specs upfront helps us align the build details and quote faster.
Troymill's coil saddles are load-tested between 1,000 and 10,000 lbs per saddle, depending on configuration and material. We precision-cut them from oak, maple, or mixed hardwoods to match your coil diameter, weight, width, and shipping method.
Saddles are standalone supports placed directly under a single coil. Racks are heavier-duty frameworks designed to hold one or more coils in place during transit or storage, including parallel cradle bases, boxed wood frames, and multi-saddle units.
Yes. We custom-build coil saddles and racks made-to-measure per coil size, rack position, or trailer type. We often work directly with plant engineers or logistics teams to spec dimensions, load points, and configuration for safer handling and faster line flow.
Yes. Our hardwood saddles are designed to withstand multiple uses in industrial environments, depending on handling and storage conditions. Dense hardwood holds up to repeat load cycles without significant deformation.
Yes. Troymill kiln-dries and machines hardwood dunnage boards, solid cribbing blocks, banding-groove dunnage, and wedge blocks. We supply dunnage from 2" x 2" boards up to 12" x 12" timbers, cut from dense oak, maple, and hickory for loads exceeding 10,000 pounds.
Yes. Troymill operates an in-house ISPM 15 heat treatment facility and can heat-treat and stamp coil saddles, racks, dunnage, and pallets for international shipping. We issue heat-treatment certificates along with the IPPC stamp so your shipments clear customs without delays.
